To tackle the Mighty Barracuda we had to design a long, skinny baitfish imitation that would look lively on a fast, straight retrieve. The rabbit on top and bottom, reflective chenille in the middle, and the 4" grub on the back certainly does the trick. The bright colors help attract these predatory fish as well. The 2nd Generation of this Bugg includes an upgraded hook that is stronger and holds up better in saltwater. The hook is near the middle of the lure because that's where Cudas attack! Also works great for Kingfish, Jacks, GTs, Pike, and Musky. Complete recipes, tying instructions, and tying video is available.
